We’ve been actively working on strategies and initiatives to ensure NVM chapters and hub members are prepared for the upcoming election season. Our latest efforts include:
New Virginia Majority Richmond Chapter
- On August 10th, the Richmond organizing chapter hosted their very first regional People’s Congress at River City Middle School. Over 60 members attended, and several local candidates participated in a panel regarding topics such as housing, education, transportation, and job safety.
- The Richmond chapter also held a meeting with members of their community with NVMs endorsed Mayoral candidate, Harrison Roday. We hosted a Q&A session where our members expressed what issues they wanted the next mayor of Richmond to prioritize.
