NVM Announces Statewide Endorsement Slate for 2025 Elections
New Virginia Majority (NVM) is pleased to endorse Abigail Spanberger for Governor, Ghazala Hashmi for Lt. Governor, and Jay Jones for Attorney General in the 2025 statewide elections. NVM shares a vision for affordable housing, protecting immigrant rights, and creating a more equitable Virginia with these candidates.
“These endorsements emphasize the work we’re committed to doing, from strengthening tenants’ rights and making home-ownership more accessible, to protecting Virginia’s immigrant communities and Virginia people’s freedoms at-large. We’re proud to partner with these candidates to put our communities first,” said Sakina Bennett, NVM political director.
“Across the commonwealth, I’m hearing from Virginians who work hard and play by the rules, but are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet. While President Trump, Winsome Earle-Sears, and Republicans in Washington are dead set on making life more expensive, Virginians deserve a Governor who won’t be afraid to stand up for workers and their families,” said Spanberger. “That’s why I’m building a coalition of Virginians from across the Commonwealth who are ready for us to get to work — and who will bring us across the finish line in November. As the next Governor of Virginia, I will take real action to lower costs for Virginia families, make sure working families can afford to call our Commonwealth home, and give Virginia workers a pay raise — because Virginians deserve an economy that puts working families first.”
