Election 2020 Victories
On Saturday, November 7th, 2020, we woke up to a new day in America. We woke up to new possibilities and opportunities. The victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris was not only a win that took back the White House, it was a win for people of color, it was a win for women, for immigrants, for students, for the low-income, it was a win #ForAllOfUs. With your support, we have built an electorate that reflects all of Virginia. New Virginia Majority sent 269,809 texts, made 701,295 phone calls, and distributed 760,581 mail pieces to Get Out the Vote. Even in 2020, a year where everyone's eyes are at the top of the ticket, our organizers found themselves reminding voters of what's at stake down the ballot in critical local elections.
Special Session Policy Results
As the COVID-19 crisis worsened, our communities took action. We organized tenants across the Commonwealth for evictions protections and rent relief and pressured legislators to make progress on criminal justice and policing reform during the General Assembly special session.

This year we launched a membership program that allows for anyone interested in social change to engage and learn more about activism and community organizing with NVM.
