Attend New Virginia Majority’s Day of Action on Monday, January 16, 2017 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's legacy and show your commitment to continue the fight for democracy, justice and progress here in Virginia. Our annual Lobby Day is an opportunity to mobilize with allies across the state to build power and fight back the rising tide of racism, sexism, anti-immigrant hatred during our General Assembly. 

We will come together for lunch and go over lobbying basics (and whatever else we choose). After lunch we will walk over (potentially march) to the state capitol and meet our legislators. We’ll share stories with lawmakers and ask them to support legislation that secures protection and justice for immigrants, reforms the criminal justice system, addresses environmental racism, lowers student debt, and puts an end voter disenfranchisement.
